Now that summer has arrived, there is plenty of warm weather and more hours of daylight. Take advantage of this and plan a few day exciting dates this summer. Here are 10 great ideas!

1)Visit a local fair or amusement park.

Summer fairs offer several hours of fun entertainment, good food and good old fashioned laughter. Enjoy a thrill-seeking ride together, check out some cool exhibits and then eat some cotton candy.

 

2) Hit the beach.

If you live in a coastal town, spend the day at the beach and enjoy the soft sand, crashing waves and the smell of the ocean. You could also spend the day with a picnic at a local lake or river if you don’t live near the sea.

 

3) Shop at your local markets.

Summer brings loads of fresh, delicious produce so why not take advantage of this by visiting your local farmers market to stock up on some fruit and vegetables. You could round off your shopping experience by going shopping at a flea market - who knows what bargain you might pick up!

 

4) Take a tour of your local city.

You may live in the city but have you ever explored it as a tourist? Seeing your city through a tourist’s eyes on a bus or tram can be whole lot of fun and you will notices things you have never seen before!

 

5) Rent a tandem bicycle.

Working out together how a tandem bike goes is great quality time! Take it to a local park and enjoy the scenery!

 

6) Go to an outdoor concert.

During the summer, there are plenty of outdoor shows and music concerts and many of them are even free of charge!

 

7) Go tubing.

If you don't feel like doing much, take a tube on your local river and spend a lazy day chatting and enjoying the passing scenery.

 

8) Ride in a hot air balloon.

Riding in a hot air balloon is one for the bucket list! This will definitely create many, happy memories.

 

9) Have a picnic in the park.

Pack a basket full of snacks, fresh fruits and lemonade, take a blanket and head over to the park for a few relaxing hours of eating and chatting.

 

10) Take a road trip.
